Translate a Google Meet call live, whatever your Workspace plan
Translated captions in Google Meet are only available on some paid Google Workspace plans. DuoVox translates the call on your own Windows PC instead, with a free Google account, a work account or someone else's meeting.
How it works
- Install DuoVox from the Microsoft Store and open it.
- Choose the two languages of the conversation. DuoVox detects which one is being spoken.
- Set the audio source to System Audio with the headphone button in the toolbar, then press Start.
- Join your Google Meet call in the browser as usual. DuoVox captions what the other people say and translates it as they speak.
Why DuoVox for Google Meet
- Any Meet call you can hear. Meetings you organise, meetings you are invited to, and calls with a free Google account.
- Nothing joins the meeting. DuoVox runs only on your PC, so nobody else has to install or approve anything.
- Both languages at once. The original words and the translation appear side by side, so you can check one against the other.
- Free and offline to start. The Free plan runs entirely on your computer in 30 languages: no account, no internet connection, no time limit.
Free, Standard or Professional
Free captions and translates on your device. Standard and Professional use cloud AI for higher accuracy and more languages — 33 on Standard and 43 on Professional — and include hours every month; Pay-As-You-Go hours never expire. On paid plans, call audio is sent to our AI providers in real time to produce the captions and is not stored by us. See plans and prices.
Good to know
- DuoVox is an assistive tool, not a certified or human interpreter. Automated captions and translations can contain errors, so check anything important.
- Do not rely on it as the only source of meaning in medical, legal, safety-critical or other high-stakes situations.
- Let the people on the call know you are using live captions, especially where the law or your organisation requires it.
- DuoVox is available for Windows 10 and Windows 11. It is not yet available in the EU or EEA.
