Translate Discord voice chat live on your PC
Playing or talking with people who speak another language? DuoVox shows what they say on Discord and its translation as they speak, on your own Windows PC, with no bot to add to the server.
How it works
- Install DuoVox from the Microsoft Store and open it.
- Choose the two languages of the conversation. DuoVox detects which one is being spoken.
- Set the audio source to System Audio with the headphone button in the toolbar, then press Start.
- Join the voice channel, call or stream on Discord as usual. DuoVox captions what the others say and translates it as they speak.
Why DuoVox for Discord
- No bot, no server permissions. Voice channels, calls and streams on any server you are in.
- Both languages at once. The original words and the translation appear side by side, so you can check one against the other.
- Free and offline to start. The Free plan runs entirely on your computer in 30 languages: no account, no internet connection, no time limit.
Free, Standard or Professional
Free captions and translates on your device. Standard and Professional use cloud AI for higher accuracy and more languages — 33 on Standard and 43 on Professional — and include hours every month; Pay-As-You-Go hours never expire. On paid plans, call audio is sent to our AI providers in real time to produce the captions and is not stored by us. See plans and prices.
Good to know
- DuoVox is an assistive tool, not a certified or human interpreter. Automated captions and translations can contain errors, so check anything important.
- Do not rely on it as the only source of meaning in medical, legal, safety-critical or other high-stakes situations.
- Let the people on the call know you are using live captions, especially where the law or your organisation requires it.
- DuoVox is available for Windows 10 and Windows 11. It is not yet available in the EU or EEA.
